El pasado día 1 de mayo celebró en Corea del Sur la gala de entrega de premios de la edición número 55 de los Baeksang Arts Award, organizados por el grupo editorial IS PLUS Corp. Conocidos coloquialmente como los “Golden Globe” coreanos, premian lo mejor del pasado año no solo en el ámbito cinematográfico, sino también en lo referente a Dramas televisivos y programas de entretenimiento, siendo esta última faceta la que despierta mayor interés del público local. En el aspecto cinematográfico la cosa ha estado muy repartida, llevándose el premio a mejor película ha sido para The Spy Gone North de Yoon Jong-bin, que también ha premiado al polifacético Lee Sung-min como mejor actor. Sin embargo, la película con más galardones ha sido Miss Baek, que se ha llevado premios a las interpretaciones femeninas, tanto principal como de reparto, y a mejor director novel para Lee Ji-won. Por su parte el premio a mejor director ha sido para Kang Hyeong-cheol por Swing Kids.
