Hace ya varias semanas que se conocieron los ganadores de la edición cuadragésimo séptima de los Japan Academy Awards que concede la Academia de cine de Japón. Ya fue la película más nominada, pero sorprender incluso ahora como Godzilla Minus One ha arrasado llevandose no solo el premio a mejor película y mejor guion, sino casi todos los premios técnicos. Por su parte Wim Wenders, como mejor director, y Koji Yakusho, como mejor actor principal, han sido premiados por Perfect Days. Mención especial al gran año de Sakura Ando, que se ha llevado tanto mejor actriz principal por Monster como mejor actriz de reparto por Godzilla Minus One.
